Cost: Free with Membership. $5 per session for stories critiqued; free to attend.
Note: Both groups require that a member attend (and critique) two works before submitting their own to the schedule. Members receive priority in this schedule. We also ask, out of respect for our regular writers, that members or non-members attend at least one group a month if they wish to submit work on a regular basis.
Short Works Critique: This group is focused on writing, critiquing, and polishing short stories, as well as helping our members find suitable journals, reviews, and other markets for publication. The group is relatively informal, with a bit of tradition. Stories are read ahead of time and brought with comments to discuss in the round. Stories are posted here.
Moderator: J Boone Dryden
Novel Critique: This group is focused on writing, critiquing, and polishing novels, as well as helping with query letters, researching markets, and discussing publication. The group works with a solid three-session critique of novels-in-progress. Novels are available for download (along with the critique form) here.
