Milwaukee Writers Workshop

I'm switching it up this month because of the fact that we did four stories last month, and I think people need a break. We won't be doing a novel, either, to allow those who did NaNo a bit of time to polish and perhaps submit in the coming year. I'll update the event with the stories that will be presented as soon as I know them. If you're interested in submitting a story for this critique, please let me know or post it on the forum.

This is a monthly meeting of the Milwaukee Writer's Group, led by Liz and Trevor. It is at the UW-Milwaukee Student Union. If you're interested in going, I'll be attending this month because it's been a long time, and I'd like to spread the word about our group, our new site, and the possibilities for the future of our organization. I also want to see if anyone there is interested in helping with WriteCamp.

This will be the first session at Hotcakes Art Gallery, hosted by The Milwaukee Artists Resource Network (MARN). It will be a monthly session focusing on craft, rather than critique. We'll also discuss more market news, trends, and the process of publishing. It will be more geared toward amateur writers and aspiring writers in college or recently graduated.

We'll be working on some traditional craft exercises this upcoming meeting and perhaps have a few new people at the session. We'll hope to just produce a few new bits of writing for everyone. I also have a number of new announcements for the group that we'll go over so please everyone come if you have the time, because it will be valuable to everyone.
