Lectures

Lectures currently being offered by The Milwaukee Writers Workshop and its partners. Our courses are one- or two-hour sessions taught over a semester-like period that deal with a particular topic in detail. These run $15-25 a session with full course rates at a discount.

Here is a list beginning January 2012. Keep checking back as we add more details for each workshop.

The Mechanics of the Short Story is a 12-week course to help both amateurs and learned writers alike get the basics down about short stories. This course is meant to work through the basics elements of story, from plot to theme, and help attendants craft a complete work by the end of the course.

Grammar & Syntax is a 12-week course to help you learn the basics of grammar, usage, structure, and syntax.
