The Milwaukee Writers Workshop is dedicated to helping the Milwaukee writing community. How do we do that?

By helping writers write: we host workshops, classes, and events that help beginning writers to published writers learn skills to improve their work.
By critiquing writers work: we have bi-weekly and monthly critique and discussion groups that look in-depth at writers' works in order to improve those pieces.
By supporting our community: we help writers pursue the goals they set for themselves.

Learning Sessions

The Milwaukee Writers Workshop Learning Sessions are for all walks of writers, from the hobbyist to the retiree to the student. These sessions are bi-weekly and offered to the public.

Cost: General sessions are FREE to both members and non-members. Workshops are only $5 for non-members.

Ozaukee Group: MWW has decided to cancel all further Ozaukee Extension sessions. We encourage you to contact Next Chapter Books in Mequon or the Port Washington Library, as both have regular writing events.

UWM Group: (On hold until Fall Semester 2012). This is a writers' circle group geared toward students and meant to offer an opportunity for attendees to showcase their work, discuss current reading and writing projects, and improve writing through prompts and other exercises.
