March 29th Meeting

Our next meeting will be March 29th. We'll be meeting at Bucketworks from 1-4pm. We'll be reading a story by Greg, entitled "Why" and Kory's story, "Buffalo Nickel". Both are in the Current Stories section for the 3/29 reading date.

Also, if you're interested in coming to WriteCamp this year, please visit the website and sign up and start chatting on the forums. The URL is www.writecampmilwaukee.com. We need to get a better idea of who is looking to attend.

Some Updates

In the coming weeks, there will be a number of updates to the site.

As it stands now, the Story Upload feature has been added back to the site (we're just working on getting the "description" section working again). For now, if you're uploading your story, please just upload it and put down the title. I can go back in and adjust it later. In the title, if you'd be so kind as to put your name, because some folks' user name on the site is different or shortened from their actual name.

Also, the Meetup site will not be around much longer. That means if you haven't created an account and are coming from the Meetup site, you'll need to do that. You can do so by clicking on the "Create an Account" link in the header at the top.

I'd also like to make better use of the forums, which have been active for some time. The Google group will eventually be phased out, too, so there isn't a confusion as to where the information for the group is situated. So please join in on the discussions or start your own.

Erotic Writing Workshop

The Tool Shed, an adult erotic boutique on the East Side is offering an Erotic Writing Workshop for anyone interested in that particular venture. The owner asked me to post this here for those interested.

Saturday, February 28, 2 - 4 pm
Do you love erotica? Do you love to experience sex through the written word? Do you have a passion for words and writing? Writer Michelle Tucker will help you get started creating your own sexy stories and poems in this workshop. All are welcome, from experienced writers to those just starting out. Workshop participants will have a chance to read their works-in-progress at a public Adult Story Hour on Friday, March 6. FREE.

March 1st Meeting

Hello everyone. Just your friendly update for the next meeting.

We'll be meeting March 1st at Bucketworks from 1pm-4pm.

This session's stories are "The Best Uncle in the World" by C.S. and "Why Did the Monkey Climb the Tree?" by Jenn Turner. Please visit the Google group (link to the right) to get the stories, as we're still working on getting the Story Upload function back on the site.

Feb. 15th Meeting

This upcoming Sunday we'll be doing Steve's story, "Mr. Kline's Goddamn Apples", which is a part of a larger work that's written episodically. I will also be filling the gap with one of my own short stories, entitled "The Pod Village of San-Zhr". I will upload it in just a little while. It's relatively short, so I hope it's not a terrible inconvenience being so close to Sunday.

Also, please remember that we're at a new location at Bucketworks. There are directions on both their site and our "Locations" section. Please let me know if you have any questions.
