boone's blogMWW: Short Story GroupMWW: Short Story Group Here is the information for the upcoming session: Time: 1pm-4pm Ozaukee Group: 10/22/2009MWW: Ozaukee Group WriteHouse 1In the awesome wake of WriteCamp, we've decided to continue the atmosphere of a collaborative writing effort by putting together an event called WriteHouse. This will be a much smaller event than WriteCamp, but it will be no less impactful. What is WriteHouse? WriteHouse will be an afternoon and evening of writing, critiquing, collaborations, and project building for writers of all kinds. Unlike WriteCamp, there won't be any formal sessions, but we hope that some folks will offer some table talks about their expertise or experience. If you have any ideas, questions, offers, please let us know. We're looking for volunteers and sponsors (as it will be another free event). For more information, visit www.writecampmilwaukee.com (or check back here, as I'll be updating both). You can always contact me with questions, too. Cheers, Bucketworks ClosingJust as an FYI to everyone in the group (and the community), Bucketworks has decided to find a new home. Thus, they will be closing their location on 6th & Vliet until they can find said home. With that in mind, we will be moving the short story group to the Anodyne Coffee Roasters on S Kinnickinnic Ave until further notice. Most likely in August, we'll be allowed to start using the space at Gravity Marketing and be able to host all of our groups there. I'll keep folks posted with the regular weekly updates. Short Story GroupThe next short story group will be meeting on June 21st from 1pm-4pm at Bucketworks. Bucketworks is on the corner of 6th St. and Vliet St. just off McKinley Ave. We will be reading "The Silver Lining" by Boone Dryden and "Too Close to Nothing" by Ian Jackson. Please look at the Current Stories section of the site in order to download material. If you have any questions, please email me at boone@milwaukeewritersworkshop.com |
